Pooor RTC... Wish I could help it...

why would you even think of that about the Shop owner??? It's not their fault that the fish is in this condition... it came into the shop like that... I'm actually impressed that they took it at all... you realize the money that these guys can eat up not only in food (which it may or may not eat) but also in Medicating a tank the size that these guys need (Even in a 150 gallon the doses needed would break most of the So called RTC owners wallets wide open) It's rare that a LFS would actually take in an obviously sick fish which they have little hope of selling in the near future and a high cost to care for... there are a limited number of people who will walk into a LFS and see a 2-3' fish and be able to take it home, lots of dreamers who wish they could but ALOT of people who will just look at it and know that they have no where near enough space for it.

These guys are pretty bad but not unsavable by any stretch of the imagination, Blu you should really go talk to them and find out more info about these guys though... I think there are enough people who would like to know more and we could teach others with this type of thread.

Agreed with Basslover. They can still be made whole. Easily.

I fully agree that it is not the shop keepers fault in the least and at least the fish is now somewhere that it has a chance. I will try to get over there early this week sometime, as I will be leaving for Elk Hunting on Thursday and see if I can talk to him about it. Hopefully language barriers dont cause too many problems as that has been an issue in the past just trying to discover prices of other fish, or understanding what a fish actually was (like the little clown catfish that I had to ask him 4 times what they were cause what he was saying made no sense and I don't think he actually understood what I was asking)... that may make it a bit hard to talk about a sick RTC going to a good home.... I will try my best though

ELK Hunting???? Your quite the outdoorsman... errrr Outdoorswoman?? Outdoorsperson!!! LMAO

Where is this guy from that makes it so hard to talk to him? Perhaps someone else here will be able to deal with him better if there is a barrier... No offence to anyone but I hate it when people who work in the Public sector don't speak the LINGO of the area... I live in an English area in Montreal and there are so many people who work here that don't speak English ... Yet when I go into a French area... I switch for them...:screwy: And I'm native English and only moved here a few years back...Some of them have worked in these areas for Decades!! (Not that i'm biased LOL :grinyes:)
