Just sprayed the paint on Saturday. Started putting it back together today. Decided to go with kind of a rat rod style. I have bucket seats out of a '91 ford probe, a stereo from a drug addict neighbor who wrecked his car and needed $$$, $100 for the rims at a yard sale, a freshly rebuilt 350 pulled out of a dirt track car, and a rear bumper welded up from some tubing layin' around the shop. Still a long way to go, but seeing the paint layed down makes me excited!

^^^ paint job is legit. nice truck

Just bought an '82 C10 shortbox. Gonna go with a little bit more of classic look with mine. Looks awesome though.

Thanks guys. It is 2 wheel drive and mine is also a '71. I'm probably gonna drop it an inch in the front and 2" in the rear with Early Classic Enterprises drop coils when I get the chance. Got a lot of other loose ends to tie up before I worry about dropping it though. This is actually the second time I have painted this truck. I redid it about 7 years ago and for many reasons it sat in the hedgerow for 6 years until this last spring. So I got the engine and exterior redone, now I gotta clean up the interior.
Modest man, I'd love to see some pics of yours

I hear ya. It's not for everybody. I actually really like the classic look too. The first time I had it painted the original two tone design using a light gray for the body and black for the roof and bottom body line. I loved it. I think if it was #'s matching or something that would hold it's value a bit better I'd go with more of an original look. But I got my old man's Chevelle to enjoy when I need a taste of the more classic look;)
