Forgive me for the friend of a friend of a friend story....

A coworker just told me a few minutes ago about a friend's wedding this past weekend. They had it at an outdoor anpitheater that has a large koi pond in front of it. She said the wedding planner went there the night befroe the wedding and thought it would be such a good idea to clear up that water in the pond (I can imagine her thinking...ew that's ugly and dirty). So what does she do? She drops in two or three gallons of bleach thinking that's going to pretty up the water and look all crystal clear. Well, the next day at the wedding the whole placed reeked and obviously all the 2ft+ koi were dead and floating at the surface.

I hope she gets what's coming to her.... They're not happy at all.

Lob her in the pond with them.

I think the county govt is actually going to do something about it. Last I heard she was going to get charged with something... I just don't know what. I'll have to keep an eye open for it to keep you guys updated.

Keep us updated for sure! Thank you. If I had to wager she'll get charged with either cruelty to animals or destruction of property.

That is a horrible story! I can only imagine what the owners of the fish are going through. So sad.....

This was on public city-owned property so I doubt there were any "owners". Maybe a caretaker but most likely they hired or contracted someone to take care of the ponds too.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. Too bad they can't get her for more than that. It's just completely unfair for the fish in this case. Severe animal cruelty..

Whatever happened to Hammurabi's code? Eye for an eye.... just sayin... ;)
