Beautiful! For a poor mans FRT.. that one sure has some Colors :)

I like the structure of FRT.. But if I were to go by over all color I would go with A poor mans long before FRT... ;)

Yea, it's pretty cool. So active and personable.

Turtle doesn't bother the fishes? Or you have to keep him well fed?

I think all my fish's are way to big for him. I was worried he tried nipping on my fish but he leaves my Pacman Cat & Endli's alone? at least for now. During the weekend I fed my fish goldfish and it's amazing to watch this guy chase a goldfish around the tank to catch one. Very fast and just when you think the goldfish get's away the neck extends like a spring and BAMN....it's in the mouth...so fun to watch. But it eats everything else I throw in there. Constantly just scavenging.

maybe a dumb question but what species exactly?

I have no idea? It was given to me but it originally came from BSIXX. Maybe he'll see this post and reply.

hey J,...
dont softshells kill take bites out of fishes?
i cant believed you risked him with the pbass..

Maybe when it get's some size but for now it leaves all my fish alone? I can't see this guy killing any of my big Pbass. He may try to nip at them but I haven't seen any such behavior. My fish would have nipped fins or split fins but that's before I put the turtle in there. Whatever nipped fins are on my fish now it's not from the turtle.

Now, would I suggest keeping this fish with fish that can fit in it's mouth, heck no.. this guy has no problem chasing down a feeder goldfish. But with BIG fish why not..

nice softshell. I'm thinking about getting one of these guys too. Anyone know how they do with rays?
