if i find it was nikkita (brother in laws pittbull) that did this to my cat... she will not be on this earth much longer....

went to her house tonight as always he came running jumped on my car and then took off so i can let him in and feed him... well somebody else picked him up and asked me what was wrong with his shoulder.... after a trip to the vet this is what we found.... doc estimates them to be 3 days old were infected and he has a fever... he showed no signs of any of this but they fit with how the dog like to play with him... and 2 weeks ago she did grip him up and swing him...

Sorry Nic for this injury to your sweet cat... but this is not the dogs fault... he just played too rough... if he wanted to he could have killed this cat in a second... i just think separation of them is in order and be thankful you found this injury soon enough to get the cat on antibiotics...

But pitbulls are friendly animals that arent aggressive and would never harm another being like that!?!

Don't turn this into a "pitbulls are mean" "no they aren't" thread....

Aww poor baby! It could have been a lot worse though. A few months ago, something got my cat out in the yard. All we found was blood all over the patio. After four days, she came home missing a chunk of flesh out of her face, dehydrated (it was June), and stinking of infection. She wound up having a broken jaw and the vet used a metal pin to screw her jawbones back together. Cost me $400 for the surgery. Should have cost me $200 more but the vet (he's a Saint!) covered part of the bill. She'll be an inside kitty from now on because her teeth don't meet up anymore and she has to eat mushy canned food. :(

You have a lucky little kitty.

Attached are the day she came home, after the surgery (spot on her neck is from the feeding tube), and healed (but before the pin came out)

Stupid dogs!
