for once........I agree with you

Well then your also wrong. ;)

"Keep in mind that these are wild animals and will not take kindly to folks trying to ride them or pull their tails. They are capable of inflicting a rather serious injury with the stinger on their tail if you attempt to ride or harass them physically. On the other hand, while rather forward in their feeding habits, they are not aggressive animals and will not try to ride you or pull your tail."

They are NOT de-barbed.

There are thousands of rays around the cayman´s. How will you de-barb them all?

How would the tourist like to be pulled under water and rubbed by sharks?

My wife and I went to dolphin cove in Jamaica last month and swam with stingrays. They debarb theirs every 6 months. They are in a football sized holding area that goes from 4 feet to about 12 deep. The rays stay were the people are. They only got stressed when there eyes came out of the water. Other than that they were like big babies.

i've been to stingray city in the caymans..they are wild rays there for free food..they are in no way caged or restrained from leaving..i accidently jumped in the water right over one..scared the crap out of both of us..they are really cool to hang with..noone in our group pulled them from the water like the picture shows..they arte VERY aggressive when it comes to food..they actually swim up your body and out of the water begging for food..i recomend the experience to everyone..:D

i've been there last year as well
you could just stand there and the rays literally come up to you and wait
if you go underwater i realized that the small rays tend to hover around the area away from the people, whereas the larger ones swim up to everyone
i haven't seen anyone go to the extent of lifting them out of the water, in fact most of the people were scared of them.
that experience was pretty much what got me interested in rays
