Pop...in a can or plastic?

How do you like your pop/soda/whatever you all want to call it?

The "coke" thing bothers me. It's like "google".

"Coke" doesn't mean soda. "Google" doesn't mean search.

However, Coke is a soda, and Google is a search engine.


Damn people messing up my language. :irked:
 
Yeah, in Texas you ask for a coke, and then the waitress will ask you which kind you want lol.

My sister in law is from Wisconsin and call it pop, the only time we normally are asked if we want a pop, its followed by "in the mouth" for back talking.

Yup I grew up in east Texas and it was Coke. So someone would say what kind of coke do you want? Then I could say whatever brand I wanted. Sometimes you would hear soda but not as often. And this wasn't BFE either this was in the big D. Now that im here in MD iv learned to call it soda. I could never call it pop though. Just doesnt flow off the tongue right haha.

In michigan we called it pop. When we Moved to NM it was either soda or coke. When we read a book that had the word pop in it the teacher had to explain. lol

Oh yea I BACON RULES!
