I have a 150 gallon tank with a 24" snowflake eal, 7" porcupine puffer, and a 5" butterfly.

I want to add a wrasse and the LFS has around a 5" Red Breasted Wrasse.

Does anyone have experience with these? Will it go well with a puffer?

Or is it too peaceful and the puffer will harass it?

thanks,

Mike

I would have thought the puffer would be kind of sort of ok with it. Like, "Hey man. Get off my lawn." Instead of like, "HEY MAN :irked: GET OFF MY LAWN!" But I don't really know.

But it reminds me of a watermelon which I'm craving right now

only 1 damsel in it (started with 6 to cycle).

Oh boy do I know that all too well....:nilly:
I put three damsels in a 40g tank, and then there was one. So I said "Oh well that's disappointing..." so I went out and bought three more...
Can you guess what happened? :grinno:
Now I'm stuck with this guy

It should be fine but don't add any more fish after that. Keep an eye on your parameters, the puffer & eel both produce a large bioload. Do you have a sump on there?

Thanks all. I went and picked it up. acclimating now to the QT. The LFS had him for a month i it looks healthy. First time I am QTing a fish. The QT parameters are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite. Salinity is around 1.022.

I home the cycling with 6 damsels down to 1 (1 had been around since end of December now) is sufficient. I assume the damsel may become a meal. I will watch the qt parameters closely over the next several days.

I thought of putting right into the 150, but did not want to stress of bringing in ich or something else.

For treating the wrasse, should I do a week of prazipro and then 2-3 weeks of curpamine after. The 55 WT has a

Foster and Smith Bio System Power Filter & Oxy Surface Skimmer 75

and a

AquaClear 70

thanks,

Mike

Nice. Get some pictures up!

I would just observe the fish in QT--don't treat with anything. If he shows signs of any parasites, I'd do hypo before using copper.

Nice teeth! Does the fish have any cover in there?
