thanks. I agree on the slime coat. I am concerned moving him back to the QT would do more harm than good.

I have been watching the tank most of today (I have a web cam hooked up) and have seen no signs of aggression towards the wrasse. I am going to try Seachmen kanflex in hopes it is a bacteria infection and the kanflex takes care of it.

Per Seachem, Kanaplex is ok to use and will not adversely effect the filter.

mixing it with focus and food will bind it to the food so little is lost in the water.

how true all this is i am not sure. however, i have previously used kanaplex and i did not get any ammonia spike.

i mixed one scoop of kanaplex and 5 scoops of focus for the food. this is compared to treating the entire system with one scoop per 5 gallons of water. that would be a lot of kanaplex in a 150.

Recently wiped out an entire tank (even all the little starfish) with the Maracyn products, which state the same. :(
Good luck with your treatment.

Lol thanks puffer for clearing that up, I was like "What did I do?"...lol

Like puffer said good luck, still I would place him in QT for any medications....even "reef safe" one's can be dangerous to inverts like snails. Numerous amounts were wiped out during a treatment for ick in the main tank, with medicine labeled reef safe.
