well thats dumb.

you make it sound like the dolphin should have known better.

Its because the guy wasn't trying to catch a the dolphin, and to my understanding there IS no dolphin lure available. So it was a mistake on the animals part, not some malicious intent, and im sure most people (non MFK mostly) wouldn't understand that. They would cry blood for animal cruelty, same way some people do when they see fish eating feeders, or frogs/mice.

Also, personally I think its staged. A dolphin DOES know better, id think it washed up on shore sick or dying, I seriously doubt that guy caught it.

I don't think he caught it either, I doubt it would be that easy to hold. It would certainly fight being held upside down.

Not to mention his gear isn't strong enough to take on an animal like that.

I have also taken bigger on smaller gear. I once docked an oversize sturgeon (about 6'2") with a trout rig using 16lb. test monofiliment. It just took a long time to do.

Yea i know im pretty big into fishing too, but from the surf and a porpus is pretty strong, I think it would be much harder to land then Tuna. Of course the surf is a bit stronger in my area, never did anything other then long range for most fishing trips.
