A friend of mine owned a 2004 Carrera GT. He buys and sells exotic cars, rarely losing money on them. The GT was one of the few cars he ever lost money on. He claims that Porsche simply sold too many of them. Plus, he hung on to his for too long--two years. They retail for around $440K, but two-year old examples are showing up in the low to mid $300K range. Most of these exotics are very low mileage (0-5K), so the depreciation is a reflection of market demand. On the other hand, Ferraris don't depreciate much, if any, in comparison.

It's ridiculous how much the CGT has devalued. It's also amazing how many have been wrecked.
Ferrari's do lose their value, just not the supercars (F40 Enzo etc). 355's are worth far far less than what they retailed for. Same will happen to 360's and 430's in a matter of years.
Not nearly as much in two years as the Carrera GT. My friend usually doesn't keep cars that long, but the GT was an exception.RyanS;633840; said:Ferrari's do lose their value, just not the supercars (F40 Enzo etc). 355's are worth far far less than what they retailed for.
