There is no mistaking this dat. 100% identified by all the above ;)

Despite what everyone says, ALL datnoides will thrive in fresh water.

It's an NGT, very nice pickup. (depending on the price)

...you dont see many NGT of that size.

and the good thing is he bought it for only £15!! (lfs got one in a shipment of archers and had no idea what it was so just priced them up the same:ROFL:)

Is there any more in wrexham for that price, funny, my lfs has been trying for a couple of months to get me a couple......... with no success. On the web they're £60+ . So that is one hell of a pick up.

@robski:This NGT is my bro-in-laws. He lives in Warrington and got it from a lfs there - they only had the 1, came in from the importers amongst a bag of archers by mistake. They had no idea what it was so just put it for sale at the same price!

Wildwoods have a load at the mo I think but yeah as you say they fetch a decent price don't they. Try the fish shop in Moreton near Chirk - they get some cracking oddballs in now and again. Never seen Dats there, but no harm in asking if they can get them in eh.

only silver dat thrive better in brakish condition. all other IT, ST, NGT, and thinbars will do fine in freshwater. that's a nice looking NGT.

Actually both the NGT and AT are brackish but both do well in FW.
