Possible 75 SA.

Im a minor who lives with his parents and has to keep every tank in my bedroom. On the second floor.

Lack of space and parents, who think a 125 would fall through the floor, combined with not a ton of my own money means i have issues with the 5 tanks i have, not to mention buying and supporting another big one...

I wish though :)

If you dont have the o already there a lots of other cool cichlids that would be fine in a 75. Yellow or blue acara (metae/pulcher) and some cryptoheros (sajica, hrp, nanolutes) could be cool

Yeah but im looking to the Oscar...

Not to discredit your ideas, please dont get that idea :) I just want to get the (hopefully) personality of the Oscar

No worries dude but if thats the case most of us wouldnt put more than an oscar and maybe a small pleco (and that is stretching it) in a 75 gal.

In my experience lots of smaller cichlids like those mentioned above have just as much of this personality you seek.
If you want multiple cichlids is it fair to cram them in a small tank?

I think the whole "oscars have the best/most personality" is blown out of proportion.

Can you list some? I would be interested in smaller fish that i can still interact with.

I know that Os arent the only ones, but i thought that the rest of them were basically all Amphs and Parachromis, which are big and really aggressive. My Texas has personality, but its mean as well and i struggle to find any tankmates whatsoever for it.

To be honest when I had a group of angelfish they were full of personality. Bolivian rams have lots of character for their size.To be honest most cichlids will show this so called character.
Acaras are another group that show this trait.
All Cryptoheros species do.
Infact I think all c/a cichlids have character. Most of it stems from their breeding strategy and their need for territory rather than actual character.

Plus op you assume that the oscar and what ever fish you choose will get along. I had an oscar take overy 150 gal and had to be rehomed.

I aggree with stanzzz. I had an hrp (honduran red point) and metae that were allways out and about.
