Yeah, Polleni are nice. My main problem yet again is the aggressive feeding response i believe i would get from one of these guys..

However, I think it would be pretty manageable with only one, now that i think about it. I still have plenty of time decide.

I do like the idea of pikes but they maybe too easy for polys to eat. especially lower jaws.

I think you would be ok with pikes as long as you chose the right species.

Rocksor could help with pikes.

How big are these lower jaws? When you say pikes are you talking about Crenicichla from South America? There are South American pikes that get as thick as your wrist.

I was referring to crenicichla i know there are pikes that no poly could eat but didnt know the specifics.

Say anywhere from 18 to 24 but it seems 24 is hard to achieve

Pikes have persnality like oscars but they can be aggressive so I would recommend against communing them with the polys since they are similar body type. Pikes have be known to go after hoplias/erythrinus and larger gobies.
