Here he is...he has 4 spots on both sides and a really odd tail pattern. A few said he looks like C. Pleiozona. I used to have two but one was a runt and got the beat down.:( He is lime green also:D

That's nice...check out the red streak on the tail and how fins change from yellow to red..

Wow.. got yourself a stunner right there... nice pick up.

Thanks, I have noticed a lot of difference in this bass then the other monos I have had. And I have never seen the red above the bottom half of the tail...:nilly:

I've seen that pattern on the tail before. It looks a lot like a hybrid mono x ocell to me though.

Looks like a regular mono to me... for now...

Here is a photo of Cichla pleiozona in the wild for comparison. Your fish looks close other than the head shape but only time will tell. BTW this photo was taken in Lago Largo, Bolivia near Trinidad.

Great looking fish. IMO, I going for monoc. Does not have the same body shape or head shape of a pleizona. All in all I can be wrong cuz all cichla sp. Except temensis look the same @ that age! Time will tell and great pick up. Now grow him out and keep most of us updated!
