Possible Convict hybrid ID help please....

OK thanks, I guess I will just go with that and stop trying to figure out what and/or if it has anything else. I guess it does not really matter that much except on another thread about the genetics of marbled convicts I was going to report the pink vs. marbled numbers of the fry and someone said that it might work differently in my fry because the father was a hybrid.

Ah, that thread. Look OP of that thread can't even figure out why the gene is not Y-linked when it's so obviously not (i.e. his friend had a marbled female). So don't think too deeply into it.

Pffff it's just a marbled con. Sure it can have some HRP or whatever genes, but then again so can any Convict out there. So from my pov it's as much of a hybrid or purebred as any other con out there.

Agreed, no way to know for sure the actual ancestry of the fish. The red tail seems to hint it may have some HRP but no way to know for sure. Pretty fish regardless.
