I am wondering is there a type of crocodillian for a tank?

like a dwarf caimen or anything in the family that gets smaller than 4 feet?

just wondering

Dwarf Caiman is the smallest you can get at 5 feet.

Will you go for a look-alike? There are some species of Crocodile Skinks (Tribolonotus gracilis, Tribolonotus novaeguineae)out there.

thanks man but im looking for something a little more aquatic

:D

Well Dwarf Caiman like all crocodillians aren't completely aquatic. But require some land area to bask on.

Also they require a pool deep enough to complete submerge themselves.

All total a Dwarf Caiman will require an area about the size of a small room with a 6ft diameter pond.

Still It's best to check into your area's local & state laws about keeping crocodillians, before getting one.

well i know they are illegal but i might be moving so i was wondering what was the smallest so i could get one

so thank you
:D

Ya, even small crocodilians need ALOT of room.

why not alligator snapping turtles?... they're not crocodilians, but they can be a good substitute....:D

Theres not a crocodillian you are going to be able to keep in a tank really... Unless the tank is basically a small room. Most small species spend most there time out of the water

Paleosuchus palpebrosus is the smallest crocodilian.
