  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yup thay kind of sound like my little flares and chases the loach but nothing more I wish the colors would come up in the pics..he has a sheen to him and his tail is blue and red....hopefully without the flash it will come up. Are they quick growers ? The plan was to move them all into one tank with a 6 inch O but no way I would be comfortable mixing rhis little guy with him now

Mine grew pretty well they put on about 1-1.5" in 1.5 months. They also get really thick, I kind of view mine like little bulldogs. Thick and squatty, nothing backs them down but not looking for a fight either. They are in a 75 and I do 30 to 50% WC weekly. I feed my tank a varied diet of pellets, flakes, frozen, veggies.

Nothing I have tried make the sheen show up on pics. Your seems to have some green to him I really wanted a green one mine are more blue sort of the colors of a gouramie but with the metallic sheen. Does yours have the green tint or is that just the pic?

My tank mates are 6 HRP, 3 Firemouths, 1 Vieja Syn, 1 rubberlip pleco, 12 lemon tetra (as dithers) and 1 Bumble Bee Cat that I never see. I am planning an upgrade to a larger tank.

Here's some more pics able to get some angles whete the red shows up. It doesnt show up in the pics so well but he goes from a deep blue around the throat area and gets green towards the midsection.

That sounds like a pretty nice set up..how is your bumblebee Caroline is a nasty little s.o.b. I am gonna pick up a couple more cl's so the final stocking will be bumblee bee oscar, bumblebee cat, yellow acara, 3 clown loaches, and the hrp when he gets some sizeuploadfromtaptalk1405117184753.jpguploadfromtaptalk1405117196439.jpguploadfromtaptalk1405117208294.jpguploadfromtaptalk1405117220271.jpguploadfromtaptalk1405117231808.jpg

Males don't get orange on the belly. Also males get bigger, stockier and develop a hump. Here are some pics of my males and females.
1st pic is my current female.

These fish grow quick...Looks like male.....At two months old females start showing off their pink red bellies..6 inch male Oscar would be able to swallow a 2 inch convict..........I like breeding cons........I use 25-55g tanks to breed, hatch, and grow out...........Easiest to maintain......The fry start breeding at 3-4 months......

Thanks fornconfirming my suspicions that the hrp wont be able to join the others in the new tank
