Possible hydrogen sulfide issues. Do I need to throw away this sand?

In a tank I'm setting up, I have some sand and water that I left since May 30 in order to allow the silt to settle before I added fish (it is too much sand to rinse).
Problem is that black pockets are forming in that sand which look like hydrogen sulfide (there have been no filters etc, just standing water). Will stirring the sand and running aerators on the water for a time oxidize all of it into sulfate (as I initially thought), or would I be better off throwing out the sand?

Just stirred and it is indeed hydrogen sulfide. Got that rotten egg smell almost immediately.
So Backfromthedead Backfromthedead 's advice is the way to go.

One last question, does the black go away when the hydrogen sulfide is oxidized to sulfate? Or is it more permanent?
