Well first off rarely do Wild Caught endlis come in at that size. And if they do come in at that size the LFS will make sure you know by jacking the price up and labeling it, but like I said rarely do LFS get endlis much less WC endlis. Another way is physical features. The head shape of yours is much more rounded and had "frog eyes." Where as WC endlis usually have flatter heads and eyes are more natural looking. And once you get used to telling the difference you start to be able to see smaller things such as pattern difference, and other smaller things.

Cool thanks for the info Dr.B, I still have much to learn as they all still look very similar to me, in time I will know these differences I hope.. I am living in India where many aquarium shops say their fish are wild caught as a selling point.. im glad it is a captive bred as I would prefer that thank you again.

How can you tell it is a captive bred form framcosco .?
Any more info on these guys or links to info would be awesome help too guys.. I have been reading up on here and few other pages to gain more knowledge...
Dr.B nailed it.
You've found the best resource. Just have to browse.

Oh and also Finlet shape as well wc will have more pointy "spikey" Finlets while wc will have more rounded D shaped Finlets .... After u keep bichirs for awhile u will start to pick it up I was like that b4 I couldn't tell the diff to save my life now I can look at a pic for about 10 sec and tell the diff easily

Awesome thank you Askaleymanfish.... Is there a know reasoning behind so many differences between WC and CBs were these traits breed into them.. line breed for specific traits....

Yes it's due to massive breeding of a species eventually they start getting inbred for example my endli is a cb ... Endlis r lower jaw species my endli is a upper jaw lol deformity in its genes..... But sometimes u can get lucky and get a specimen with good genes ..... Like cb laps still have pretty good genes because they haven't been breeding them for long

Endli Endli !!!! Cute & Nice baby, Thanks for sharing !
Reminds me ...one of my Captive Bred Endli during his young time, looks exactly the same ! ^^
