Thanks. I guess I will start my search for a large female. Anyone have any suggestions on what type of fish might go best with my fish? He's ridiculously aggressive.

If it were my fish I would breed it with a nice kamfa flowerhorn. Only thing is they take longer to sexually mature and we all know larger fish equals larger price tag. I saw a guy selling a very nice female in my area on Craigslist for $200 but she was gorgeous and proven fertile. The aggression isn't too big of a problem as a divider will keep them separated and once they start the spawning dance they're usually fine together. You really do have a lot of options for breeding him.

My LFS has a 8-9" flowerhorn for $200. Not sure of its sex though (or if it's fertile.) I'll start my search, thanks.

Or a female red devil to match the aggression. Plus they're fairly cheaper to try vs a flowerhorn.

I agree that you should look at a kamfa female. You should breed it to something that is going to continue to improve on the finnage and colors, not just something to breed it to for the hell of it.
