possible tank mates

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, it might work for a very short period of time but even now you are overstocked and are going to have trouble keeping your nitrates down.

The Dovii will need it's own tank soon. Just be ready otherwise it will make it's own tank by murdering everything else very quickly. Once you remove the dovii don't be surprised if the red devil has to be removed. It may or may not work long term, just depends upon the fish. Now for the bad part. A pacu and RTC have zero business in your tank. You will probably need a 600g+ to think about housing them for anytime. If you cannot provide this for them you need to start finding them a new owner that can ASAP. Your 12" RTC will be 24" in no time, then 36" and so on. I hope you planned for this when you purchased it.

Sounds like you are in good shape for the cichlids and will have plenty of places to move them to is agression issues occur. I would be looking for someone to adopt the RTC and pacu though. Unless you are planning a true monster tank or indoor pond you won't be able to house them. They just get huge!!!

Uh oh...a liiiiiitle too much my friend. Don't do it, splitting them up would be better. The pacu gets huge fast...real fast. They don't call them tank busters for nothing :D

placing the two 6x2x2 end to end to look like a 12x2x2 , one tank will contain ... female dovii , 8 inch red devil , 9 inch freddy , 6 inch jd and two 8 inch oscars .... the other will hold ... 14 inch rd , two oscars , 3 jags ..... . the 4x2x2 will hold my breeding pair of dovii , 2 x 48x18x18 will be grow out tanks
