Possible tank stocking…

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Possibly they were captive bred lapradei. I don’t really ever hear of wild lapradei being active except maybe koliba/koloton variant.
Oh ok, they came from exotic fish shop , but they weren’t listed as anything other than laps . They went from 3” to 12” in about 8 months and then I sold them
If I can find a picture, I’ll post it

Oo. If you got them that small, quite safe to assume they are captive bred.

Sounds like it, mine weren’t what you described, they grew pretty fast and definitely were not shy. Damn now I’m starting to miss having bichirs lol

well i just purchased 4 (some kind of metynnis) silver dollars that will cap out at 6 inches and a red hook silver dollar from marks ark. that’s the start of my stocking list…there’s also a chance that a buy a 220 gallon tank that i just found at an insane deal on facebook marketplace and obviously the bigger the better so i might have to buy that. that would also allow for more fish to be stocked…but i’ll save that for the future.

Nice! Red hooks and spotted are my personal favorites, RH get a little bigger but should be fine
