Logperch, darter species. Not a good bichir tankmate, will most likely be eaten.

interesting, someone who bought my chalceus had it in a 15 gal tank temporarily and it didn't even eat a convict fry that was left over from the previous inhabitants. This is the same chalceus that killed a butterfly fish 2/3rds its size. Maybe well fed fish simply don't feel the need to feed on other fish

hell my bichirs wouldn't even eat shrimp. I moved a bunch of the baby mollies and guppies to a "safer" tank with diamond tetras, black skirt tetras, and zebra danios. Needless to say they lasted a day in the safe tank
