There's a good chance your fish will fight, especially if they are young and in their prime.

When I was breeding Flowerhorns big time, my young would fight a lot, especially after a water change.

If you can keep a lot of young male Flowerhorn together without much injury, many fish shops would already be doing it as it would save them time and money.

If you have an extremely large tank and play your cards right, you may be able to keep them in a school. They will probably need to feel like they are in a pond.

The more fish the better I breed flowerhorns I keep my flowerhorns 24+12 Midas plus 2 vieja synpsilums in one tank. Range from 1-3". Lost one of them I think it was due to because she was breeding she laid eggs with a male and the male most probably killed her

To a certain point, Tim and I crossed a true a Golden Monkey from Sonny with my female Shinto Dragon and we had approx 500 fry in one tank when they were really small, as they grew, we split them up into multiple 60 and 100 gallon tanks and we would find a couple fish dead after each water change, canabilism was rampant even though we fed often.

Of course at those numbers your bound to lose fish. When I used to breed Midas I would get around 1500-2500 fry easily. I would scoop maybe 100-200 of them and at the end when they would be 2-3" I would get half of them alive. Survival of the fittest but most died at a rice grain size.

If you get 500 fish I would never expect you to get 500 fish to get to live past 1" from fry. Maybe 1/3 max 2/3 of those fish.

Nothing can be done !!!! that would happen while raising a fry !! I left my try to introduce male FH's ..I don't wanna lose them !!!! After u guys opinion better leave alone...
