I have a baby bass and I was just wondering how often I should feed it. I got into the habit of feeding him every time he will eat, which is about twice a day. I was wondering if it is possible to overfeed them. Since I got him from the wild, I figured he might have the instinct to not kill himself from eating too much. Any thoughts on how often to feed? Nice spotted bass!

The main issue with feeding a lot would be water quality. If you have enough filtration and keep up on water changes, you can feed him as much as he will take and he will grow like crazy. What size tank is he in? cause these guys grow fast in good conditions.

What a beauty! As previously stated... clean water, good filtration, and you can feed him as much as he'll eat. Pretty unlikely he'll over-eat. I have a 7" Largemouth that can put 8-10 medium minnows away in just minutes. They can EAT!

he is currently in a 10 gallon but i would give him another couple of months before he will need to be moved into a larger tank
