Possible?

ok, i posted that i had a "lmb" but actually was what i think was a gizzard shad, and recently caught a real lmb. well the real lmb was about 1.25" and the gizzard shad was about 1". And i checked my bass out today and it ate the gizzard shad! Its stomach is huge! But my female guppy just had babies so is it possible the gizzard "dissapeared" and is hiding and the bass ate the guppy fry? I dont rele beleive it ate something close to its size?

not likely. The guppy idea is the likely cause

definite possibility that he killed the shad though. One of the bass I kept (5") actually killed and tried to eat a smaller lmb (4") swam around with it in his mouth for a while before I noticed.

Totally possible that the LMB ate the shad. I just had a 1" grass pickeral eat another GP that was not even 1/4" smaller then itself and they have no where near as big og a mouth as a LMB!

I think LMB's have a hollow leg.

i caught a 4 inch perch and left it on the hook in the water to show my little sister and when i pulled it up there was a 2 inch lmb with have the perch in its mouth. awesome!!!! they dont call them bucket mouths for nothing!

yea i see why. I saw my lmb chasing a baby guppy around the tank that was about half his size. This little guy has my bass goin crazy. started hunting the gupp.fry last night and still hasent gotten it yet. Its good b/c when i let him go in my uncles pond it will know how to actually catch food.
