I bought a bunch of Cichlids and I think some were mis-labled. I had a gorgeous big Orange Blossom Peacock and my big blue guy killed him.. Any help identifying? GREATLY APPRECIATED!View attachment 702948View attachment 702949

mbunas and peacocks can get along well together. The larger multi colored one is a peacock. What size tank are they in now? I see no CA/SA cichlids in that picture. There is an african section your questions will be better suited there.

You will likely get more help in this section being able to ID your stock, I went ahead and moved it for you. :)

I am going to help best i can. The multi colored one looks to be a OB peacock. The yellow ones are yellow lab cichlids and the purplish one is an acei. All peacfull mbuna except I have hear the OB peacocks can be a bit nasty. I would start by increasing the number of fish you already have trying to get a ratio of 1m for every 2-3 females. You can defiantly add more species too. Some fish that might work are hongi, rusty cichlids, and maingano.

OB Peacocks from what I have heard from others get very nasty when they get older. I personally do not have any but know some people that do. Some have made it 2 to 3 years and they snapped, killing everything in days. Just what I have heard, never had personal experience with them.

Hey thanks guys..BIG HELP. I appreciate it..
I hear alot about Peacocks being nasty.. But the red peacock in my picture was actually killed by the yellow lab! :( He was so calm otherwise.
The black one in my pic is nasty and attacks my Irwini catfish and my fingers..
