One thing i totally acknowledge and agree about when it comes to the treatment of animals... if you do not respect an animal as far as being humane towards it... you will also not respect and treat humans much better... and i shun people who do not have feelings towards other living things because those people are to be feared... they do not respect precious life in general...even their own life is viewed as worthless...

cruel and friggin' unusual...

Pretty soon they'll offer that with pacu's.. but yes very stupid, hopefully most people would cut them open and place them in a tank once they get home.

I cant think that a fish in that small of a container living long enough to make it home

at least a goldfish as a feeder is serving a purpose.

even pellet and flake food is made from dead fish.

all food (even yours) is made from dead plants and animals

Personally, I don't think using goldfish as feeders is abnormally cruel.

this post seems to be missing the whole point as it has dragged on.
its a goldfish deliberately put into a sealed unit with 1 or 2 hours of air and sold as a keychain. its cruel. no ifs or buts, its simple and its cruel.
if we did this to another human or a fluffy and cuddly dog/cat then people would be screaming blue murder but its a slimey non-cuddly fish so, as some have decided and thats their opinion, its just not that cruel compared to the other atrocities in the world. fine maybe it isnt as bad but they are not on show here, another forum somewhere else will deal with them no doubt. a poor goldfish sealed in a bag by a society that seemingly has little to no respect for animal life is on show.

i think the whole point in the thread was not to debate how cruel it is compared to other things in the world or to assess someones mental health, but to show everyone who is a member here a shocking act of wilful animal cruelty.
