I always wanted to own a pacu, nut i've heard they are tank busters...specially when startled...how thick is your glass? did they grew there?

I do not know how thick my glass is.. but yes they can be tank busters.. i am always a little nervous ..they do not startle easy but they do feel chipper once in awhile and try to put on a show for you.. then you feel like saying hey "shows over" .. and bring the curtain down because they have you wiggling in your seat watching them:ROFL: They graduated from a 125gal to the 220gal.. they could of course be in bigger still.. like a pond,,,;) But they are happy and healthy and all is well for now.

I still havent gotten the pacu, next weekend for sure. I am stilll contimplating the transportation. Do you think that 16" would fit in a coolre height wise? Mabye a storage bin? Tell Me what you think.

As long as the cooler is taller and longer and wider, you will have to measure it.. and how long would he be in the cooler.. that makes alot of difference too..you may have to put a portable air pump in because then he would have enough air for awhile.

Probably 40 or so minutes.

well if you get the container much bigger then it will keep alot of air in at the top.. if the container {cooler} is just a little over the fish size you will need to add battery powered air pump.. the main thing is the fish needs a good supply of oxygen to breathe..and they use up more when they are stressed so the more oxygen you can supply for him the better. So bigger the container or cooler the more oxygen there will be.:D Lots of luck getting your new pacu.. looking forward to seeing him.
