Very unlikely, they usually retreat when a hand comes in to clean. We keep large puffers, namely a mbu,a fakha,a palembang and out of these the most aggressive has to be the fakha. Not too difficult to keep, keep in a species tank alone, feed when small torn cockle, mussel, prawn whelk and worms and when larger whole of above with cockles and prawn in shell to help with teeth although they dont seem to have the problems with overgrown teeth that smaller puffers have.Cannot digest fish properly so leave or feed infrequently.Usually as they age they become quite interactive and entertaining.
