Post LFS OVER PRICED FISHs

2.5 inch electric blue jack dempsey priced at $110.00! Laughed and walked away. Brother went back in about 3 weeks later and got it for $100.00! WAY too much money for that fish!
 
at my shop people say that we are overpriced compared to other shops, but as mentioned on this thread, people want rare and unusual fish, and they dont want to pay a cent for them. especially in this economy, it's getting tough to run a business. our electric bill is $10,000 monthly, dont even want to know what the water bill is, and then salaries on top of that. There is usually between 3-6x markup, and if there isnt that markup, there is no way any LFS would stay afloat.

your out of your mind HAHAHAHHA $10,000 a month light bill what are you lighting ???? my uncle is a plant manager for a mead factory in pennsylvania and he told me there light bill for a month is $5,500 plant runs 24/7 with hundreds of industral machines lol a lfs with a 10,000 dollar light bill hahahahha

10k x 30 days is $333.33 a day in electricty not gonna happen

also remember that different areas have different costs on electricity. MA is rather high. We run a 7 day a week shop with over 700 tanks, 20 sumps, more than enough heaters, plus a wholesale upstairs.

$15 convict...2 inches
$95 Oscar...10ish inches actually a not fish but def. not worth the money
$150 TSN...12 inches
$195 RTC...18 inches
$150 Silver Aro.. 12 inches

All from the same store...the store either has really cheap fish or really expensive. I have picked up frontosa at 2 inches for $8 a peice at the same store.

your not racing up a 10k dollar light bill and also the electricty cost cant be that much higer ( government issued caps ) lol 10k light bill isnt gonna happen your telling me you spend $120,000 a year on light bills alone ???? get over it

thats $2307 a week just for light bills get over it man
