This big fella is @ my local fish store. I like to visit him every weekend. Started out $1000, then all the way down to $399, now back up to $749....

Do you recall price and size? Definite male?

I know they listed some 3" Labiatus on there site, wish they would list the larger fish as well. I hate calling there because I always get this one guy who doesn't know a goldfish from a neon tetra.

Yes, I'd bet it's a male. Had a slight nuchal hump. Nice fish. Looked like it did not play well with others though. Legit glass banger and gravel spitter. ;)

Great thread idea! Pet-Pourri has a few Oscars, a largish giraffe cat and a rapidly-growing rainbow wolf that could use a rehoming pretty soon.

I hope to someday do a 1000g tank/pond with nothing but a herd of inbred, ugly, rejected rescue Oscars in it. It's not their fault they exist after all.

Maybe I will check him out, need to get my 125 gallon setup Friday.

I would think before the thread becomes a giant mass of random fish that it be separated by the each region. Since this is the North West region forum I would think it would be appropriate to post fish that are located in North West stores like say Wetspot in Portland Oregon but not fish from say Petzone in San Diego California. Just my opinion.

Agreed. Please keep on topic as this is the NW section. :)

Should make a category for this...the LFS rescue thread and have it for different areas. like in the classifieds!!!!!

Pet-Pourri in Everett, Wa just inherited an overweight full-grown fire eel. Easily 3 feet and could make a fishkeeper with the space very happy. Coloration is medium grade, yellowish on the fins thanks to a strict diet of excess of nothing but 4oz. scoops of blackworm every day. Still, he honestly looks rather well as he is and I imagine a light polishing and improved diet will really give him a sparkle.

Pet Time in Eugene OR has a 2' Silver Arowana in a 40L. Poor fish has been in that tank since I first visited the store in March a year ago.

They also have a nice 10" male Paratheraps Bifasciatus that has also been they awhile.
