#91-93

never turn your only filter off for more than 6-8hrs

have a back up battery air pump

for incoming nasty windy stormy weather that may affect your water supply, start stocking up on water in any/all receptacles, not only for drinking/cooking/washing purposes but for your fish w/c's.

Buy a real test kit. Then wait for your tank to be cycled.
#2 Do not quote information from books you will be left looking stupid and thinking "Well **** the author was wrong on that one"

When doing a water change its best to match the new water temperature with the tank water temperature as close as possible. Small differences will stress fish. Very large differences can kill

The majority of people who post about their sick fish and ask for advice have no idea what their ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels are, and this isn't a coincidence. Spending thirty dollars on test kits will save you money, frustration, and fish lives in the long run.

Definitely. I'm so surprised by the money people are willing to spend on CRAP, including chemicals, plastic castles, and multi-colored rocks, but they won't buy a test kit.

Buy a test kit and learn what good water parameters are. Also, always aclimate your fish 2-3x longer than you think is necessary.

If you think adding that fish you want to your tank might not work, it usually won't. Trust me on this one lol
