Almost looks like breeding stripes. I think it would help if you gave him a light colored substrate.

well that does make some sense. he was paired up with my festae and started causing a little trouble in the tank although not to much so i removed him to the 125 then my butti took over and started raising hell so i added the peacekeeper back today. the butti is not bothering anyone now and the jag is keeping everyone in check. so that may very well be the case because he loves the festae. thanks balton. i thought once they lost the black bars they were gone for good. much appreciataed
