is300zx: I have 10 young ones now. Wish some still had external gills like klipsch's, none of mine had them since I got them.

you have some nice endli and a huge collection!

most of my bichirs still have their externall gills, a 8" ornate 6" delhezi and that 4" endli i have never had a palmas polli with external gills before.

i think good water quality is the key.

Nice fish/tanks/pics Loubard. I really like your substrate; it really brings out the color on those Endis, they look almost gold.

I like how the Endi keepers tend to have a international flare as well, from all ages/genders/countries.

Thought I'd have a go at posting mine-wild caught Nigerian. Bought it just over 3 weeks ago at 6" and skinny-now over 7" and getting fat (bottom picture).

Here's an update. Since changing my gravel from a light natural mix to a red/natural mix in several of my tanks, my polypterus have been showing a lot more contrast and markings. The Endlis are doing well, but I have lost 2 to jump-outs . Compare these pics from the ones in the beginning of this thread:
