I think everybody has their own idea of a monster. Doesn't have to be preditory. I say a snail can be a monster for a kid with a 2.5 gal.

Anything under 30 gal I say. maybe 20 gal if you want. But it's the mini monster TANK not the mini MONSTER tank lol.

That's how I see it anyways/

I agree. When I was younger, I had a 3-4" apple snail in my old 20 gallon that I thought was the coolest thing in my tank. And "monster" fish definitely don't have to be predatory, if that was true then why are flagtails, plecos, etc. so popular on here?
