Macrognathus zebrinus, maximum size- 18", though I've never heard of one getting past 14" in captivity.

The thread started off slow
My eel is camera shy too but occasionally you can grab some good shots....

This is my fire eel and "freshwater" moray. (has been raised freshwater and kept for over 2 years in freshwater, he has flourished)
