I'm new to the forum and was wondering if you guys can tell me if it would be wise to put a 3 inch fire eel with 4 Oscars they are about 8 inches big.

I would wait till the fire eel is about 7" or so before you do.
How big of a tank?

Thanks for your answer, my tank is about 160 gallons. I actually saw another fire eel for sale, that one is about 12 inches and they are asking $100. What do you think about that option.

I had the opportunity to buy one that was 6" or so for about $23.00

Thanks for the advise. But I live in Costa Rica and there aren't a lot of options on rare fish like the fire eel.

This is actually the 3rd eel I see for sale in about 3 years

I'm also looking for a Bichir (or 2) but it has to be at least 20cm or my Oscar's will kill him.
