nice car even sweeter that your dad handed it to you that is the best in my opinon

Thanks. Yeah I feel like it means a lot more to me because it was my dads. That is what is supposed to happen to these cars and other older cars. It seems like the tradition of handing down cars from father to son has gone away

Here is a horror story for you from my 15 1/2 bday. Ever since this happened I have been . So the wonderful dude that my mom married when my sister and I were tykes had a 67 charger with 440. He would take us to the drive-in theatre and we would hide in the trunk and then when we got in down went the back seat and out we would come.

So in the summer of my 15th year of age they took us to disney land was a very great holiday, I was charted to get this charger for my 16b-day. When we got back from holidays what was suppose to be my present was a shell of it's former self. It had been stripped of many many many things kind of like the bad new york neighbourhood thing. I was totally devestated and could not convince dale that I still wanted the car. He was in a rage about it, especially because he had a good idea who did it but the cops would not get involved. I SWEAR HE ALMOST BIT OFF HIS BOTTOM LIP HE WAS SO MAD!!!!!!!

So off went my teenage dream car and my ambition to blow them away at high school when I got my drivers liscence.

Then along came my aunt gloria, who handed me the best $1 vehicle I have ever owned. She saw how wiped I was at the loss of my dream and gave me her 1965 navy blue 2 door ford falcon. Sure it did not have the ability to keep you from grabbing the $20 off the dash board, but, it was my first old car. It was crazy I could let go of the steering wheel and it would drive straight for miles and miles.

Ever since then the old car bug has been living in my brain and heart. I full well intend to make sure each of my kids has a rolling piece of history to call their own that is gonna make people go :WHOA:.

Even my 3 1/2 year old has gotten in on the act, telling me he wants a truck and not just any truck but a big old truck.:headbang2

I am so gonna keep subscribed to this thread because the garage we build next year is actually gonna be a full on shop where we will build and restore these cars. Will most definitely post pics as we do it.

You should pm msjinks to ask her about their car, from what I remember they have a sweet ride.

Thanks. Its just a good angle. It has scratches here and there but it only has about 76,000 miles... not too bad for a '90. She was garaged for most of her life

My car has 125,000+ miles on it, and it's a 2001........

My dad's '88 RX-7 has around 50,000 miles, probably less. It's been driven considerably more since we installed the track suspension kit, cold air intake, clutch, and flywheel upgrades. Brakes should be coming in soon. Seriously one of the best handling cars I've ever been in. Body roll has been completely eliminated.

Here is the vehicle that I am going to buy myself for spring pick up. I sealed the deal on the phone this morning and will begin to pay for it tonight. I am an old car nut and now that I have managed to acquire all the tanks I need to finish my fish vision it is time to gain back what my restaurant business has required of me. At one time I had 12 old cars.

My 71' C-10 that I'm restoring. Just painted it two weeks ago. Still a work in progess. Should be lowered with new exhaust and spray in bedliner by spring. Did an engine swap earlier this summer. Put a re-built 350 in it.
