Yes. I got him from a guy in jersey awhile ago. I had another but died shortly after arriving. They are Datnoides Microlepis and Undecimradiatus. All fish pictured are in fresh and have been freshwater. I was going to put the archers in a 125g mangrove but d4cided to sell the tank setup. I'm still debating on setting up a tank for just them.Goanna;2704622; said:Is that a single Scatophagus tetracanthus? If so where'd you get him? Does he bother any of the other fish?
That's alot of Dat's also. What species are they, D.campbelli? That's one of the only ones I know of that's true brackish.
No clue. Came in as a jaculatrix but has horizontal stripe like a blythi.Eric A;2668661; said:What species is this?

I do not setup my tank for them to spit. I just like their shape and passiveness that I can keep with angels and discus.
The archers have been in 100% freshwater in well over two years with no issue. They will probably die if I switch to brackish. My pH is not low, it's 7.5 and my discus acclimated to it fine. I prefer not to mess with pH than to constantly have pH swings.Goanna;2716434; said:Do you have a FW species of Archer or are you keeping Jaculatrix in low pH FW for the discus? I cant see them doing too well in blackwater conditions for a long period of time.
