Solid advice (almost basic art rule) but hes right, your fill in is unusually smooth. Pretty impressive. Id expect some dark spots from overlaps. Is it really just the quality if the markers?

You need to keep all the lines going in one direction always , if you've got decent quality markers blending isn't so bad , if using cheap felt tips you need to be very selective with colour choice some dont work or clash loads , do a few testers see what colours blend well with pens you've got , but I suppose the main technique is always same direction with shading lines and try not to cross them as it makes darker lines between them

Lol I was just using crayola 50 cent markers that may be the problem! What brand do you use? (I went to an art magnet school for all of middle school but am still not to great LOL!)

thanks guys :)
Decent markers do help my good ones are letraset promarkers , but I use brands like berol and stabilo quite a lot there just felt tip pens nothing special prob better than Crayola for blends though , like I said choice of colours plays a big part some are better than others , and lots of practice , ive had six years of art/design school/uni after highschool thats helped me a lot and im now a painter and decorator by trade so I work with colour schemes daily and keep a steady hand (or at least try) lol :D

I use sharpies mostly but like to try other markers. I also love Molotow markers. I used to buy those before sharpies

I've got a full set of sharpie markers fine tip , not used them yet was toying with the idea of tagging a pair of white nike air max ;)

Wow evz, you've done it again. Awesome art man. I dont know if you are just using super bright colors or what but your art always seems to pop out the page (if that makes any sense). Nice job:thumbsup:

+1, I do all of my coloring-in with pro markers and I use pigma micron pens for the rest (highly recomend both).

Lol I used to do hats shirts and shoes with paint markers or fabric markers. I'm imfamous around my old neighborhood in the Bronx for my graffiti hats.
