OK,that pic ^^^ ,is actually kind of cute.
But what is the appeal of them for you guys? I don't get it.

i think mine is pretty cute. he has a lot of personality. i like that they are an ancient fish and really don't seem like any other fish in the world. they act differently. they don't swim the same way. they have little 'arms'. mine comes over to see me and greets me. he also swallows a nice hunk of meat in like half a second...lol. the first thing that made me want him was because he was all shy, hiding under a sponge filter in a 20g tank at my lps. he was staring me down and the look in his eyes was like he was begging for help. so i brought him home. i probably would never had gotten him if i had known how big he would become though. i was told he would not outgrow a 30g. at the time he was smaller than a hotdog. now he can swallow one whole.
Holy cow, that's one big pink lungfish!
I had a lungfish for a short while, but when I started having nightmares about it slithering out of its tank and coming for me, I realized that I had finally found a fish (? fish-ish creature?) that was too creepy, even for me.
They're fascinating, though!
