It's probably mentioned on this thread that feeding frozen/live food stimulates breeding. This can also increase the frequency and batch size, as frozen/live foods provide more energy to breeding females. However, for species that are sensitive to digestive track issues when fed high-protein diets, such as Tropheus, this is not recommended. Although some very experienced Tropheus breeders increase their yield by feeding newly hatched brine shrimp to their breeding colony.

Currently trying with sparkling gouramis in a planted 10-gallon, no luck yet but loving the challenge. Anyone have tips on lowering pH slightly to encourage spawning.
