sorry to throw ur thread off lol...its 1 bay of my parents garage and theres 3 :) still not enough room for my friends....just bout a house though so plenty space on the way.

I'm working on some more bucket bio-filters, these ones using submerged bio-balls.

I started with the cut-off bottom of a 4-gallon bucket that I drilled and attached a 1" thin-wall standpipe to. This goes into a 7.5-gallon bucket, the standpipe is attached to an ell and discharges out the side of the bucket. A drip plate on top disperses the water from the Rio 2500 pump.

I am going to cover the perforated intake tube with plastic screen and some 100 micron felt, but I haven't in the photo.

Also, I designed the filter to dump into a second 5-gallon bio-filter standing next to it, but I still need to build it.

I will post photos of it up and running when I get it done.
