p.s.. these to fish are now seprated , convict is in a 25 gal single specie tank alone and the jaguar is in a 55 gal predator communtiy tank these pic's are from last year ..

I love my male convict. He is on his second batch of fry and has gone through 3 females now. He is alone right now in a 29 gallon tank because he has killed off his last mate. I also have a grow out tank for about 20 fry. I will post some pictures soon.
 
First, this is the best con pic I ever took. Was using an old 1 memapixal kodak at the time. This guy is still with me.

This is a rare "open mouth" shot of my oldest female. She's been a very prolific mother and has stayed quite small. I've had her almost three years.

This is "Lunkhead". He developed an unusually large kok for a con. His gill cover had a split in it when this shot was taken back in his hayday. Sadly, he has since lost the use of his swim bladder and his kok shrunk. He's been this way for several months now but demonstates an iron will to live.

This is currently my most impressive con, Lunkhead's brother. He's grown exceptionally large & looks great. I seriously need to work on a full body shot for him.

Probably the best starter cichlid to be had IMO:thumbsup:
