i got both i'll try to get pics i don't have kodak eazy share on this computer i'll have to try to use the other one
leapord bush fish or ctenopoma get around 6-7'' in captivity but can get a little bigger in the wild like most fish south american leaf fish useually don't get over 5'' so yours must be dooing we'll mine has alot more pattern to it and doesn't have that little thing at the end of its mouth mabye cause its still young i like him alot though one of my most interative fish actually kinda creepy some times in my basement i'll sit on my cammand post (sofa) and look over to see him just staring at me when i go over he allways looks right at me an swims to the top when i open the lid and likes to bite me actually when my hands in the tank gess my finger looks like a rosy red (don't worry luckally i got him off live foods i wan't to keep this guy for a lond time ) i'd try to get a pic of that but he just inhales every thing so i could show a happy leaf fish with a mouth full of food but you couldn't te'll what it was he eats with his mouth closed and has a cool pattern love these fish
my ctenopoma or how ever you spell it is alot less interactive swims alot more but is more skidish wasn't in the old tank proubly cause of the crappy lid on my 20 gallon its an mettal reptiale lid that i have to use so it and its tankmates don't go sky diveing must really scare it proubly makes alot of noice to them but this guy is a pig he eats whater he can get and alot of it he'll eat pellets to which is great i'll try to post some pics of the two of them
ive got a marbled and a leapord, my tank is in dissarry right now though, in the process of moving adn shifting tanks around....grrr, lots of work.
when i get them up and going well i get some pics!
Awesome feesh!
Would you say the ctenopomas are overall a slow growing species? I will probably have to start mine out in a 29G so they don't become food for the bichirs in the 100G
