In the UK, dangerous dogs are classified by type, not by breed label. therefore a judgment of its physical characteristics, and whether they match a description of a prohibited type.
A leaflet providing guidance on the physical characteristics of the type of dog a court would consider a banned type is banned! no matter what the breed
so the pit type could be things like
Athletic American Bulldog, mastiff crosses, staffy, irish staffys and staffy crosses
oops typeo! and yes i am awhare of the over benned breeds, just not so fond of them. Tosa's and Pits i love to bits! there are a few pits in the uk that have been through court and neutering to keep there dogs but its very expensive!

I no there is loads of "pit" or "AM Bull Terrier" and "Red Nose" dogs going around on all the free adds, like boogy man, how many pits are like boogy? big fluffy tail that they shave lol,
one day they are Pits the next they are DDB AM Bull crosses or staffy lab mix
not trying to pick up on your typo, if you look at almost every post from me there will be a few on almost ever1, im sure lol
