You actually dream every night. The government just doesn't want you to remember

A really weird dream I had before that felt so real was being in a building that looked like the staple center. A bunch of army guys prepping for defense against an alien invasion. And Will Smith was our leader. Weird

Nah, I work for the GOV, we don't care what you dream ( well maybe the American GOV does ).

Maybe people will dream up ways to pay off the US national debt...... so they should let you dream! :WHOA:

Here's a tip how to remember dreams. It is true we dream every night. What you got to do is wake up during REM sleep. When we sleep we go through a cycle and after about 4 hours it keeps repeating. Time an alarm to wake you up about 2-3 hours before your normal waking time and chances are you'll remember your dream. And have a paper and pen by your side so you can immediately write it down. I have actually been able to remember dreams almost every night for like the last month. I have been waking up several times a night when I used to just sleep all the way through. Also prepping yourself before going to bed, like telling yourself (making yourself consciously aware) that you are wanting to dream and wanting to remember the dream. This will also increase the odds of you remembering a dream. It is proven that remembering dreams can become a skill with practice. Also according to Freud, our dreams have a hidden meaning. They can reveal an unconscious message about yourself if you analyze it. There is something called day residue. This is when your dream had content that is related to something in your day. Like Sumo's dream of Will Smith and Aliens, perhaps he was watching a movie that day or the previous day that had Will Smith in it or Aliens.

Interesting. Does it matter that I already wake up several times during the night to pee?

I am gonna try prepping myself, but I don't think I can justify setting an alarm to myself... my sleep is precious to me.

Well, when I was a kid I dreamt a lot and remembered a lot. But for years and years I remembered nothing. I'd remember something like once in a great while. But since I had to keep a dream journal for school it totally helped me out. I used to wake several times a night and not remember a thing. But then for awhile my sleep would be where I slept all throughout the night never waking up at all. At first I didn't want to disturb my sleep either but I started waking up on my own a few hours before my normal waking time. It will increase the odds of you remembering dreams if you prep yourself for it. Maybe even having a sheet of paper with a pen by your side, whether you plan to use it or not, can all help. Basically the prepping heightens your conscious awareness/memory that you need to remember dreams. At first you may not remember dreams for several days. If you keep at it, you will start to remember fragments of dreams and or just the theme of multiple dreams a night. And then you will start to remember whole dreams with lots of details.

Last night I had another crazy dream. I was in El Salvador with some guy I have not seen in 15+ years. And there was a war going on in the streets and me and him were fighting our way through it street by street. There were other people, sorta like allies we'd run into. But the thing was, I don't know Spanish fluently and my friend was translating everything, it felt like it was crucial in determining who was ally or enemy. And then at one point we get separated and I am on my own. And then some how all of a sudden I am able to speak fluently in Spanish. Then the dream moved to another setting, seemed like I was in America now. And the dream involved me and a group of people being chased by some psycho that looked a lot like that guy who did that mass shooting in Colorado at the Batman movie premier. For some odd reason he kept chasing this couple and was focused on chasing the woman especially.
