  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm on vacation in the Bahamas currently and one song they seem to play at least once a day at the pool here is 'Livin on a prayer' by Bon Jovi. That song and 'Wanted Dead or Alive' are two of my favorites.

Sorry but i'm offended here, no way Scorpions or AC/DC are 80's hair bands. Both debuted in the early 70's and none of there music sounds like that glam band stuff. Just my opinion.

one of the Scorpions biggest hit albums was Love At First Sting released in 1984 which Rock You Like a Hurricane was on that album. don't know why you'd be offended, if a band was popular in the 70's and 80's, what would you consider them? a 70's band or 80's band?

thanks for reminding me, i love ballads, another great one from Love At First Sting. Front man Klaus Meine had a great voice for ballads

Yes the Scorpions were popular in the 80's as well, I guess my definition of an 80's hair band is different than yours. To me an 80's hair band is one that came out in the 80's and more or less died in the 80's. Examples are Twisted Sister, Ratt, Poison, Skid Row, Warrant and the list goes on. These bands were known for the HAIR and the makeup and coinsided with popularity of MTV. This was the first time we saw music videos and these bands got popular from their look as much as their music. Not to say they didn't produce good songs, they did and I like them as well. Like I said at first just my opinion.

no i hear ya, Scorpions and ACDC don't exactly fit the glam metal groups

when i said hair bands, i just meant really any rock/metal band with long hair

scorpions actually was originally formed late 60's, lol

and those were the days man, MTV used to be just that,... Music Television

now they just spew garbage all day

Aerosmith? Hair/glam metal? Ahh... no. They had too much talent to be in that group

since when was glam metal associated with only talentless bands? i take it you hate the term "glam rock/metal" and you don't want to put your favorite bands in that category, but there were a lot of glam rock bands that had a lot of talent as well as some that didn't. but Aerosmith, whether you like it or not, is part of that group dude

anyone who don't categorize Aerosmith with "hair bands" or "glam rock/metal bands" are in denial. i bet if you look up glam metal bands, i am darn sure you will find aerosmith in your search edit: searched, result: aerosmith is among the top bands listed

hair? check
make up? check
outfits that only glam /hair bands can get away with? check
